About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize database systems that support business-critical applications and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, security management, backup and recovery, and troubleshooting complex database environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain database solutions to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability.

• Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and database structures.

• Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.

• Implement database security policies, access controls, and compliance standards.

• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support business applications.

• Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations when required.

• Develop and maintain database documentation, procedures, and best practices.

• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across all systems.

• Proactively identify opportunities for database performance improvements.
  
  Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Database Administration or Database Engineering.

  • Strong experience with Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or PostgreSQL.

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and database tuning.

  • Experience in backup and recovery management.

  • Knowledge of database security and access management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
